The Summer Sessions program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is an exceptional opportunity for students to enhance their educational goals in a concentrated time period and for community members to take part in some of the innovative and unusual classes taught by outstanding faculty and guest lecturers.

Register now for the Visual Art Academy
The 14th annual Summer Visual Art Academy takes place June 4-15 for students from grades 6 to 12. This two-week intensive visual arts program teaches innovative aspects and techniques, promotes a love and appreciation for the arts as a whole, and supplies time and materials to allow each student to produce artwork of their own. Full-day academy students choose four classes, and half-day students choose two classes to participate in. The 105-minute classes meet Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. To register, please visit www.uaf.edu/art/artacademy/.
Legacy Lecture - June 4, 7 pm
Our 2018 UAF Legacy Lecture features UAF alumnus Neal Brown, who has been a pivotal force for science education since his arrival in Fairbanks in 1961. Today he maintains a keen interest in many aspects of the scientific world and continues to inspire those around him. Join us on Monday, June 4, as we honor and celebrate Neal Brown in the Murie Auditorium at 7 pm.
